Why isn't my case updating?

Troubleshoot disposed cases, temporarily unavailable court records, and manually-entered matters.

If a case doesn't seem to be picking up new information, one of these is usually the reason.

It was added manually

A case entered by hand with no confirmed court match isn't refreshed automatically — there's nothing for Gaveli to track against. Update it yourself, or re-add it by searching court records (for example by CNR) so it can be matched.

The case is disposed (closed)

Once a matter is concluded, Gaveli stops refreshing it. If you believe it's still active, open the case and use Refresh from Court — if the court record shows it as active, the status will correct itself.

The court record is temporarily unavailable

Court records can be briefly unreachable. Gaveli keeps retrying in the background, so these usually resolve on their own. You can also try Refresh from Court again a little later.

Brand-new cases may show as "never synced" for a short while until the first successful refresh completes.

Still stuck?

Check the case identifiers are correct, review Settings → Case Sync for failing cases, and reach out to support if a case keeps failing.
