Adding a case to Gaveli is the first step to tracking it. Once a case is added, Gaveli keeps it up to date from court records automatically.

Start from Add Case

Select Add Case from the navigation or the Cases list, then choose the court type that matches your matter:

  • District Court

  • High Court

  • Supreme Court

  • Tribunal — DRT, DRAT, and NCDRC

Two ways to add a case

  1. Search court records — the fastest way. Look the case up (for example by its CNR number or party name) and Gaveli fills in the details for you, then keeps them current.

  2. Enter details manually — for matters that can't be found automatically, you can type the details in yourself.

Whenever possible, search for the case so it can be auto-updated. Each court type has its own search options, covered in the next few articles.

Adding many cases at once

If you're moving an existing caseload into Gaveli, use Bulk import to upload a spreadsheet instead of adding cases one by one.
