Revoking or reinstating client access

Manage and end a client's portal access.

You stay in control of who can see a matter in the Client Portal. Access can be revoked at any time, and reinstated later if needed.

Revoke access

  1. Open the case and go to Client Access.

  2. Find the client and choose to revoke their access.

  3. They immediately lose the ability to view the matter in the portal.

Reinstate access

If you revoked access by mistake or the client needs it again, reinstate them from the same Client Access section. They'll be able to sign in again with a fresh secure link.

When to revoke

  • The engagement has ended.

  • The contact details have changed.

  • You need to pause a client's visibility for any reason.
