Inviting a client to a case

Send a secure magic-link invitation so a client can sign in to the portal.

Give a client access to their matter by inviting them to the Client Portal. They'll be able to view that case and its shared information.

Send an invitation

  1. Open the case and find the Client Access section.

  2. Choose Invite Client.

  3. Enter the client's name and email address.

  4. Send the invitation.

How the client signs in

The client receives an email and signs in to the portal using a secure link sent to that address — no password required. Each time they need to sign in, they request a fresh link.

Good to know

  • You can invite a client to more than one of their matters.

  • Choose which documents are visible before or after inviting — see Controlling what clients can see.

  • You can revoke access at any time.
